Instrument Science and Technology


This Discipline belongs to one of the five key construction electronic information Discipline Groups of Hangzhou Dianzi University, a key constructing university of Zhejiang province. Two master disciplines including precision instruments and machinery and measurement technology and instrumentation was approved in 2006. The Optoelectronic Information Technology andInstruments was self-set as second level Discipline of master degree in 2011. The first leveldisciplines authorized to offer master degree was authorized in 2011, including three second disciplines: Precision instruments and machinery, measurement technology and instruments and optical instruments. The doctoral program of electronic measurement technology and instruments was set in 2015 as self-set secondary discipline outside the catalogue.

 The discipline aimed at the forefront of academic and regional economic development. Focus on the core common problems in test technology, committed to cutting-edge research as photoelectric sensing theory and method, measurement and control information processing, biomedical instrumentation and other infrastructure issues and frontier research. To achieve theories and key technologies to innovation, To serve intelligent manufacturing and health careservices area, To provide technical support and discipline leading for building a features clear, domestic Leading and international advanced discipline system.

(1) Complete Innovative talent Training System of Disciplines

 Discipline has a complete training system from undergraduate to doctoral, high quality of talent training. Measurement & Control Technology and Instrument Specialty was approved as the "12th five-year plan "regular undergraduate institutions emerging specialty of Zhejiang Province in 2014.

 The student has strong innovation and entrepreneurship ability and the graduate students have got a total of 12 different projects in the in the past five years, of which including 5 New-shoot Talents Support Program, 2 outstanding dissertations Funds of university students cultivate, 5 research and innovation fund. The graduate students has presented total 60 papers, participate in more than 30 patent applications. 1 provincial outstanding master's thesis. Participate in various academic competitions and winning a total of nine, include 1 College Students' extracurricular Scientific and Technological works contest Grand Prize, 1 best creative Award in Fourteenth Zhejiang Province session of the college students' extracurricular academic science and technology work contest. 2 third prize of "Challenge Cup" Undergraduate Business plan competition prize. 1 golden prize in first "Internet +" competition of Zhejiang Province. 1 Silver prize in first "Internet +" competition of the nation.  The college which this discipline relies on has biomedical engineering discipline, Key Laboratory of "Medical Information and Biological 3D printing" of Zhejiang Province, special laboratory of "detection technology and information processing" supported by Zhejiang finance, and the central government supported special laboratory "Biomedical electronic information laboratory", "digital Biomedical technology laboratory", "Biomedical detection technology and Instrumentation laboratory", "medical information and intelligence clinic laboratory", "smart instrumentation and health monitoring network laboratory", "biomedical sensing and detection technology laboratory" and the "Cancer Informatics laboratory" built with the Zhejiang Cancer hospital. The "Health and Biomedical information Engineering" built with the PLA 117 hospital, and many other teaching and research platform and has a special advantage in biomedical instrumentation platform. Currently, in the field of big and high incidence disease diagnosis and treatment technology, intelligent diagnostic of medical imaging technology, bionic manufacturing and testing equipment, the discipline has made a series of achievements collaborating with other related hospital in province and medical equipment enterprises for collaborative innovation. With the national strategy implementation of the health China, biomedical instrumentation disciplines direction having a broad space for development.

commitment to social services

 Based in Zhejiang, service for local area. Zhejiang Province focus on the development of " integration of information technology and industrialization ", linked closely together with health industry and other regional economic development area, Collaborative Innovation in machine vision, fault diagnosis, medical equipment and other aspects of collaborative innovation enterprises to obtain theoretical research and application of technological innovations. Finished 61 corporate commissioned research projects, a total of 4 patents conversion. Discipline members also undertook academic advising, planning and assessment and other social services. Has one teaching guide member of instrument science and technology cooperation committee, One teaching member of Society of Mechanical Industries instrument science and technology committee. Provide technology support in promoting the popularization of science, community service such as agricultural pest monitoring, Water conservation of Qiantang River, major disease diagnosis technology, nuclear power and hydropower equipment fault diagnosis and other fields.

3. Cultivation goals and discipline direction setting

Training to master the equipment discipline of sensing and detection, Biomedical, Instrument System of Instrumentation science and other basic theories and systematic in-depth professional knowledge and understanding of the instrument and the trends of international research frontier, capable of independent scientific research and technological development, innovative thinking and practical ability of high level talents.

 The main directions of the discipline are: (1) Photoelectric detection technology and equipment. Based on new photoelectric sensor technology, mainly engaged in machine vision, biomedical optics, spectral imaging and other areas. (2) Measurement & control technology and intelligent instruments. Mainly engaged in detection technology and sensor manufacturing, information processing technology and virtual instrument, fault diagnosis technology research and diagnostic equipment development, intelligent control technology and equipment development and other aspects. (3) Biomedical instrumentation. New medical technology and equipment development of high incidence and major disease, advanced intelligent diagnostic technology based on medical imaging, bionic manufacturing and testing equipment, and other aspects.

4. Domestic and international influence

 Discipline was approved as the key disciplines of "12th five-year plan" of Zhejiang Province  

in 2012 and identified as the first "class academic" construction school in 2015.  

 Discipline have the excellent cooperation relationship in scientific research and personnel training with the University of Pittsburgh, Virginia University of technology, Drexel University, University of South Florida, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and BioStat International Co., Ltd. and Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Province Tumor Hospital, PLA 117thhospital, oral hospital of Zhejiang Province etc. And we build discipline innovation talent training basement with 14 enterprises, such as Amphenol (Changzhou) connection system Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Noel nerve rehabilitation Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., national instruments etc. Discipline assist holding joint academic conference of biomedical engineering 2014. The faculties participate Nearly 70 times of international academic conference in the past four years. 10 person-time teachers abroad for collaborative research or visits study. Discipline members actively participate in social services, through the National Fund Commission, the local Science and Technology Bureau, enterprise engineering technology research center and other departments, which broaden the influence of the discipline.
